Lima, 03 October 2022 - The AL-INVEST Verde programme announces the appointment of Irene Haddad as the new Team Leader of Component 1, a role in which she will be responsible for overseeing the activities and tasks of this component, the relationship with the implementing entities, as well as the resources to ensure the success of the initiative throughout Latin America.

Irene, who replaces Gabriel Fernandez, has a career spanning over 17 years, working in international cooperation and market development. Most recently, she worked as Senior Consultant from the city of Barcelona in Spain. She also worked at Eurochambres, as part of the Consortium implementing the AL-INVEST III and IV programme.

"I am very happy to be part of the AL-INVEST Verde team and to have the opportunity to work towards contributing to the economic development of the region with a sustainable outlook, supporting the transition towards a more circular economy that is so relevant to the challenges we face both regionally and globally."he commented.

Irene studied Political Science and Public Administration at the National University of Cuyo in the city of Mendoza, Argentina. She also holds a Master's degree from the University of Le Havre (France) in Management and International Trade with Latin America, International Relations, Trade and Regulations for International Trade.
