The AL-INVEST Verde programme, through Component 3 for intellectual property rights, organised the first edition of the Ingenias LATAM 2025 Award for women inventors in Santiago de Chile on 4 September 2025. Meet Dr Gladys Antonieta Rojas de Arias, biologist and inventor of compounds (synthetic molecules) derived from 2,5-dihydroxybenzyl, Paraguayan winner for her invention for the treatment of Chagas disease and leishmaniasis.

The II EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogue, organised by AL-INVEST Verde in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), was held in San José (Costa Rica) on 25 June. On the 26th, the facilities of the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Centre (CATIE) in Turrialba were visited.

On 2 December 2025, the IV EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogue was held in Brasilia (Brazil), organised by AL-INVEST Verde in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). On 3 December, the EMBRAPA Cerrados facilities were visited to learn about experiences of innovation in water and agriculture.

AL-INVEST Verde organised its annual #CONEXIÓNVerde+ event from 6 to 10 October 2025 in Medellín (Colombia). The event allowed to strengthen knowledge exchange, generate synergies, consolidate inter-institutional relationships and make the impact of the programme's initiatives visible.
