Adaptation and development of the Selo Verde platform in Mato Grosso do Sul
In collaboration with the Environmental Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IMASUL), which is part of the State Secretariat of Environment, Economic Development, Production and Family Agriculture (SEAGRO) of the same state, the aim is to strengthen the traceability of the main productive sectors affected by the European Union's EUDR: planted forests, cattle ranching and soybeans.
Implementation period: October 2025 - October 2026.
Expected results
- Get compliance assessments
environmental for all registered rural properties in the state -more than 80,000-. - Overseeing the activities of deforestation after December 2020.
- Enable agricultural and livestock holdings to demonstrate their in accordance with the Brazilian Forest Code and support sustainable land management.
- Awareness raising and coordination with relevant public and private actors to generate collaborative relationships that foster the adoption of the SeloVerde-MS platform.
- Development and implementation of the SeloVerde MS platform as a public system. The platform will consolidate environmental data, facilitate CAR analysis and improve traceability at the property level to promote sustainable agricultural practices.
