Adaptation to the Regulation on deforestation-free products (EUDR)
Through this action, the Ministry of Agriculture (Minagri) is supported in the process of adapting the bovine and timber sectors to the requirements established in Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free supply chains (EUDR). The Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (ODEPA) is coordinating this action on behalf of Minagri. The results will contribute to the strengthening of value chains and compliance with the standards set out in the EUDR.
Implementation period: February - June 2025 (Phase 1) / November 2025 - June 2026 (Phase 2).

Expected results
PHASE I
- Develop a diagnosis of the adequacy of public and private instruments and existing capacities to comply with the EUDR, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Designing a profile of project technical assistance aimed at strengthening government capacities to facilitate sectoral adaptation to the EUDR.
PHASE II
- Supporting the formation and operation of a inter-institutional technical committee responsible for guiding public policy on adaptation to the EUDR.
- Develop a programme of EUDR training adapted to the needs of the two prioritised chains.
- Create and maintain a specific section on PASO's website with information resources downloadable documents on the EUDR.

Chile, 4 March 2025. AL-INVEST Verde, through the Chilean Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (ODEPA), supports the Ministry of Agriculture (Minagri) to strengthen the process of adaptation of the bovine and timber sectors to the requirements of the European Deforestation Free Regulation (EUDR).
Second phase of action to support Chile in strengthening its preparedness for the EUDR
Chile, 28 November 2025. The Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa), with the support of the AL-INVEST Verde programme and the European Union Delegation in Chile, together with Eurochile, launched Phase II of the project to adapt the beef and forestry chains to the European Union Deforestation-Free Regulation (EUDR).
Chile strengthens inter-institutional coordination to comply with the EUDR
Chile, 12 December 2025. On 11 December, Chile's Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa) presided over the establishment of the Inter-institutional Technical Committee (CTI) created within the framework of the project.
