Expected results
- Diagnosis of national instruments that can contribute to demonstrating that the beef and timber value chains meet the zero deforestation and due diligence requirements set out in the EUDR and propose intervention strategies. To this end, among others, the following activities will be carried out:
- Identify and characterise the public and private instruments available in each selected productive sector and the actors involved in their development, management or implementation.
- Map the main public support instruments for the adaptation of the selected chains under development or developed in other Latin American countries in order to extract good practices applicable to the Chilean context.
- Organise face-to-face and virtual workshops with qualified informants from the Chilean public and private sector to detect needs and complementarities in each selected productive sector.
2. Project profile of public sector support to facilitate the adaptation process to the requirements set out in the EUDR. This project will have, among others, objectives, activities, deliverables, actors involved and governance mechanisms.
