#CONNECTIONGreen+
Flagship event of the AL-INVEST Verde programme, organised by its three components to present, exchange and strengthen initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability in Latin America. This space fosters dialogue between public and private sector actors, shares experiences and results of territorial work, and highlights the strategic role of intellectual property as a tool to drive innovation, competitiveness and the transition towards more sustainable production models.
#CONEXIÓNVerde+ was developed in 2025 in Medellín (Colombia), a city committed to sustainability, social innovation and urban transformation, which positioned it as an ideal setting for deepening knowledge exchange, strengthening synergies and highlighting the impact of the Programme's initiatives.
In 2024, the event took place in the Brazilian city of Belém do Pará, an emblematic location for dialogue on sustainability as it is considered the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. During the meeting, participants reflected on the challenges and opportunities of sustainable production chains in Latin America. Stakeholders from the public and private sectors came together and strengthened their commitment to more responsible and resilient development models.
Conexión Verde was an annual event held in 2024, aimed at learning about progress and exchanging experiences in the implementation of partnership projects under Component 1 of the AL-INVEST Verde programme. The event also served to strengthen knowledge about the mechanisms for implementing the initiatives, addressing key aspects such as monitoring and evaluation, visibility, and technical and financial management.
The meeting took place in person from 11 to 14 March 2024 at the Hotel Soleil, located in Antigua, Guatemala.
The #CONEXIÓN Verde event, held in Lima, Peru in 2023, brought together trade union leaders, sustainability experts and representatives of the European Union to discuss progress on the AL-INVEST Verde programme and explore development opportunities for SMEs in the region. Over two days, topics such as the circular economy, sustainable value chains and environmental regulation were addressed, with training sessions, working groups and case studies focused on promoting responsible and sustainable business practices.
