More than 33,000 women entrepreneurs strengthen their capacities to lead sustainable transition in Latin America

33,576 women representatives of MSMEs have been trained as part of the Component 1 Action of the AL-INVEST Verde programme, strengthening their skills and competencies to drive the transition to a more sustainable, green and digital economy in Latin America.

Through the actions developed by the Programme, 5,209 MSMEs led by women have implemented sustainable practices, contributing to environmental conservation and greater efficiency in their production processes. These initiatives have enabled companies to incorporate improvements in resource management, process optimisation and the adoption of more responsible production models.

In addition, 6,585 women entrepreneurs have participated in business meetings, facilitating new business opportunities and the generation of strategic alliances. As a result, 2,445 women-led MSMEs have increased their turnover, expanding their access to markets and strengthening their business growth.

The impact of the Programme is also reflected in the labour market. In total, 8,272 green and digital jobs have been created or maintained in the beneficiary MSMEs, contributing to the generation of more sustainable job opportunities and the development of more inclusive local economies.

In terms of productive efficiency, 4,035 MSMEs led by women have achieved significant savings in the use of resources such as water and energy, optimising their processes and improving the profitability of their businesses. In addition, 1,662 companies have adopted sustainability norms and standards, incorporating traceability practices, circular economy and compliance with regulations that strengthen transparency, environmental protection and access to international markets.

These results reflect the key role that women entrepreneurs play in transforming the region's productive systems, contributing to a more competitive, sustainable and inclusive economy.
