The AL-INVEST Verde programme held its annual event in the city of Belém do Pará in Brazil. The event was co-organised by the Confederation of Trade and Business Associations of Brazil - CACB, and was attended by public and private institutions from Latin America and Europe, who discussed the challenges and opportunities of the transition to a more sustainable economy. The #CONEXIÓNVerde+ is organised in the framework of the European Union's Global Gateway strategy and served as a key space to present the achievements and progress of the Programme.
Component 3 of the AL-INVEST Verde programme related to intellectual property rights, implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), welcomes the publication of the new Trademark Guidelines developed by the National Directorate of Industrial Property (DNPI) of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining of Uruguay.
Nearly one hundred representatives from the public sector, private sector, academia and the field of cooperation in Ecuador have concluded the course on "Training of trainers in traceability and good agricultural and commercial practices for the cocoa value chain", whose objective has been to cooperate with the country to adapt to the requirements of the European Regulation on products free of deforestation and forest degradation (EUDR).
