Chile presents the first technical diagnosis on the impact of EUDR on the beef and forestry chains

The Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa), with the support of AL-INVEST Verde and the Delegation of the European Union in Chile, presented the results of the "Diagnostic study on the adaptation to the European Deforestation Free Regulation (EUDR) in Chile".. This activity marked the end of the technical assistance that AL-INVEST Verde has provided to Odepa with the aim of promoting the adaptation to the EUDR of the two national value chains affected by the regulation: beef and forestry products. Chilean companies visit Valencia as part of the AL-INVEST Verde programme

In the framework of the Eco-accelerator project: Innovation in Circular Business Models for E-Commerce Packaging, developed as part of the Component 1 Action of the AL-INVEST Verde Programme, which supports the green transition of Latin American SMEs, the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), together with its European partner, the Valencia Chamber of Commerce, organised a business mission to Valencia last June, with the aim of boosting innovation in circular business models. Launch of the first mentoring for artisanal products in Colombia and Chile

A new mentoring programme was launched in collaboration with Artesanías de Colombia and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI). This initiative is aimed at artisanal products with strong territorial links in Colombia and Chile, with the objective of promoting their sustainable development through strategic intellectual property (IP) tools, such as geographical indications (GIs) and collective trademarks. This programme, developed under the AL-INVmentor initiative, represents the first mentoring experience focused on artisanal products. Read full story.

Launch of the "Trainer of Trainers II" project in Ecuador

This second phase will contribute to the EUDR adaptation process of the cocoa value chain in the provinces of Guayas, Manabí, Esmeraldas, Los Ríos, Santo Domingo and Orellana. Read more.
