
Paraguay presents RETSA PY, a traceability system for meat and leather supported by the EU
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) of Paraguay officially presented the RETSA PY System (Registry of Establishments with Socio-environmental Traceability), a tool for the socio-environmental traceability The project is supported by AL-INVEST Verde, financed by the European Union, through the Polytechnic Faculty of the National University of Asunción (UNA). AL-INVEST Verde adds four new projects for the benefit of Latin American SMEs
Through its private sector support component, Component 1, the programme incorporated four new projects in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Brazil, which will benefit more than 825 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). These initiatives seek to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices, foster the circular economy, promote traceability and deforestation-free production in key sectors such as fashion, cocoa, coffee and manufacturing.
