AL-INVEST Verde present at the 7th European Parliament of Companies

The event brought together representatives from the private sector across Europe and Latin America to discuss the challenges and opportunities of sustainable trade and business cooperation. The Programme's presence allowed for the sharing of progress made in strengthening Latin American SMEs and promoting more sustainable and competitive business practices. More than 700 entrepreneurs from 43 countries attended the European Parliament's Hemicycle in Brussels, where they were welcomed by the Vice-President of the Parliament, Victor Negrescu. Representatives from more than 14 countries attend the IV EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogue in Brasilia

On 2 and 3 December, Brasilia hosted the 4th EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogue, organised by AL-INVEST Verde in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). Closing workshop on intellectual property mentoring for VISEC Argentina

On 31 October, the closing event of the VISEC (Sectoral Vision of the Gran Chaco) mentoring, developed by Component 3 for Intellectual Property Rights, implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), took place. The initiative sought to strengthen the soybean and beef value chains in Argentina through the strategic use of intellectual property (IP), aligned with the sustainability requirements of the European Union. Support for Chile to strengthen its preparedness for the EUDR

The Office of Agricultural Studies and Policies (Odepa), with the support of AL-INVEST Verde, launched Phase II of the project to adapt the cattle and forestry chains to the European Regulation on deforestation-free products. Read more.

Diagnosis of the beef and timber sectors in Chiletina

First diagnostic report on the situation in Chile and its beef and forestry industries to comply with Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products (EUDR). It presents a diagnosis of the main gaps and challenges facing Chile in complying with the EUDR, focusing on the beef and forestry product chains. The study was based on interviews with public and private actors, analysis of national and international documentation, and review of relevant information platforms. Read full report.
