European Union and AGEXPORT support the Sustainable Tourism sector

As part of the action of the AL-INVEST Verde Programme, the Guatemalan Association of Exporters (AGEXPORT), member of the Executing Consortium of Component 1, carried out the "Diploma in Sustainable Tourism with Specialisation in Green Investments". This course, organised by the Sustainable Tourism Commission of AGEXPORT and developed by the Department of Sustainable Tourism of the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG), was successfully concluded with the participation of 31 representatives of MSMEs in the tourism sector and lasted three months. First shipment of deforestation-free coffee from Brazil to Europe 

As a result of the collaboration between the Government of Minas Gerais (Brazil), the Federal University of Minas Gerais and the Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Três Pontas, with the support of Component 2 of AL-INVEST Verde, the first shipment of coffee meeting the requirements of the European Regulation on Deforestation and Forest Degradation Free Products has been made to Europe. Paraguay joins the DESIGNclass tool of the EUIPO

The National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay (DINAPI) has become part of DESIGNclass, a tool of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), by adopting and accepting the list of terms of the harmonised database of indications of products.
(HDBPI). DESIGNclass is a tool that allows users to search and translate product indications in 30 languages. The adoption of HDBPI by DINAPI is a tangible result of Component 3 of AL-INVEST Verde for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), implemented by EUIPO. Read more.
