Around 4.4 million euros will be used to promote green economy projects in Colombia.

The AL-INVEST Verde programme, through its Component 1, is implementing twelve innovative projects in Colombia with a view to promoting employment and competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the country, which will contribute to economic growth. 4.4 million have been earmarked for the development of these initiatives. Ecuador hosts the closing session of the "Dialogues on sustainable cocoa" series

The closing conference of the "Dialogues on sustainable cocoa" cycle, organised throughout the year to analyse the requirements of the European Union Regulation on Deforestation Free Products (EUDR) and its implementation in the cocoa value chain, will be held in Quito (Ecuador) on 1 October. Brazil

Producers of: açaí from Codajás in Amazonas; cocoa beans and derivatives in Rondônia; and coffees from the volcanic region of Poços de Caldas in Minas Gerais. Read more.

Producers of: Argentine tea from the province of Misiones and Northeast Corrientes; Atamisqui flower honey from Santiago del Estero; and paprika from the Calchaquíes Valleys in the province of Salta. Read more.

International Coffee Day

International Coffee Day is celebrated on 1 October. AL-INVEST Verde gives the floor to women from producing countries, such as Colombia, Costa Rica and Ecuador, among others, to highlight the role of women in the coffee value chain.
