{"id":14335,"date":"2024-07-08T09:03:27","date_gmt":"2024-07-08T07:03:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alinvest-verde.eu\/?post_type=mec-events&#038;p=14335"},"modified":"2024-07-08T09:14:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T07:14:36","slug":"i-dialogo-sobre-cacao-sostenible","status":"publish","type":"mec-events","link":"https:\/\/alinvest-verde.eu\/en_gb\/agenda-verde\/i-dialogo-sobre-cacao-sostenible\/","title":{"rendered":"1st Dialogue on sustainable cocoa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The online workshop \"Due diligence for deforestation-free cocoa in the framework of the EUDR\" will take place on 16 May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Component 2 of&nbsp;<strong>AL-INVEST Verde<\/strong>implemented by FIIAPP and IILA, in collaboration with the programme&nbsp;<strong>SAFE<\/strong>&nbsp;-implemented by the German cooperation agency, GIZ, and with the technical support of the&nbsp;<strong><em>European Forest Institute<\/em>&nbsp;(EFI)<\/strong>The first Dialogue on sustainable cocoa will be held under the title \"Due diligence for deforestation-free cocoa under the EUDR\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This workshop is part of a&nbsp;<strong>cycle of three virtual dialogues<\/strong>&nbsp;on the cocoa chain to address different EUDR requirements:&nbsp;<strong>free deforestation, traceability and legality<\/strong>. In this first session, representatives of the European Commission and producer countries in Latin America and Africa will discuss public policy tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will be virtual and will take place at the following venue&nbsp;<strong>timetable<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>9:00 -
