Component 2 of AL-INVEST Verde, in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA), is organising the IV EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogue, under the title \u201c.\u201cOrganic Agriculture: strengthening sustainable markets in the EU and LAC<\/strong>\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event will take place in a hybrid format, face-to-face in Quito (Ecuador) and online, from\u00a015:00 to 23:30 (CET time)<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is fully aligned with the main policy orientations of the European Union, such as the European Green Pact<\/strong>the Farm to Fork Strategy\u201c<\/strong>the Action Plan for the Development of Organic Production in the EU (2021)<\/strong>, which sets a target of achieving at least 25 % of European agricultural area under organic production by 2030, and the Regulation (EU) 2018\/848<\/strong>, which regulates organic production and labelling of organic products in the EU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is also articulated with the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030<\/strong>, which recognises the adoption of agroecological production practices as a key instrument for the conservation and restoration of biodiversity and nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
