Component 1 of the European Union's AL-INVEST Verde programme is making progress in its objective of promoting job creation and sustainability in the Latin American region. This EU initiative presented its progress at its annual event, entitled #CONEXI\u00d3NVerde, an initiative that took place in the framework of the 50th General Assembly of AICO (Ibero-American organisation that integrates and coordinates Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as related entities).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Component 2 of AL-INVEST Verde organised together with the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) of Uruguay the workshop \"Certification of agro-exportable products from native forests\" to foster dialogue on the importance of sustainably managing native forests and, consequently, the opportunity to certify the sustainability of their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uruguay and Paraguay visit agroforestry certification experiences in Spain<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A delegation of technicians from the Directorate General of Forestry of the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (DGF-MGAP) of Uruguay and the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX) of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Paraguay visited Spain from 25 to 29 September to learn about agroforestry certification experiences. The visit was part of the technical assistance that Component 2 of AL-INVEST Verde, led by FIIAPP in consortium with IILA, provides to both institutions through IDAF (Centre for Applied Research on Agroforestry Development).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
