
More than 31,000 companies in 15 Latin American countries have benefited from the AL-INVEST Verde programme.
Through the implementation of its Component 1, supporting the private sector, with 66 ongoing projects and a tangible transformation in various productive sectors, the programme has achieved the implementation of sustainable practices in more than 31 thousand MSMEs that have received training to improve productivity and efficiency, promote the circular economy and digitisation, strengthening their capacities to compete in more demanding markets. Calchaquí Valley paprika, the third product supported by AL-INVmentor to obtain GI recognition
We celebrate the significant progress made by producers of Calchaquí Valley Paprika in Argentina, who participated in the Geographical Indications (GI) mentoring programme: AL-INVmentor. This product, linked to its region of origin, was officially recognised as a designation of origin on 15 April 2025, thanks to the unique characteristics provided by its cultivation in the high-altitude valleys of Salta. Ingenias LATAM Award highlights the talent of innovative women in Latin America
The purpose of the Ingenias LATAM Award is to highlight the talent of women innovators in Latin America and to give international visibility to their creations and inventions. In its first edition, the award will be held at the premises of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) in Chile on 4 September and will focus on women inventors, with the aim of recognising and celebrating their contribution to innovation. Cycles of regional dialogues

Sustainable Cocoa Dialogues Collection
In 2024, AL-INVEST Verde, in collaboration with the SAFE (Sustainable Agriculture for Forest Ecosystems) programme of the German-GIZ Cooperation and with the technical support of the European Forest Institute (EFI), conducted three virtual dialogues on the cocoa chain to address different EUDR requirements: deforestation-free, traceability and legality. The meetings allowed different points of view on the EUDR to be heard and experiences to be shared. Read report.
