Costa Rica hosted the II EU-LAC Agri-Food Dialogue, organised by AL-INVEST Verde in collaboration with the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA). The event took place on 25 June in San José and on 26 June in Turrialba, where the participants visited the facilities of the Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Centre (CATIE) to learn about experiences in sustainable livestock production. Launch of the first mentoring for artisanal products in Colombia and Chile
A new mentoring programme was launched in collaboration with Artesanías de Colombia and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI). It is aimed at artisanal products with territorial links in both countries, with the objective of promoting their sustainable development through intellectual property (IP) rights, such as geographical indications (GIs) and collective trademarks. In this edition, producers of two emblematic products will be accompanied: silk from Cauca in Colombia and wicker from Chimbarongo in Chile.. Read the full story.
