Study and promotion of the gender perspective in the agro-export sector
This action is developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay. Its objective is to support public authorities in the implementation of activities that contribute to the objectives of the National Plan for Gender in Agricultural Policies (PNG Agro). To this end, opportunities for improving employment conditions and exporting products to the European Union from a gender perspective are analysed.
Implementation period: September 2023 - June 2024.
Expected results
- Identify good business practicesThe project has been a key element in the national and international efforts in gender mainstreaming and due diligence in the agro-export sector.
- Analyse opportunities, obstacles and alternatives in gender mainstreaming in the export chains of sheep, cattle and beekeeping to the European Union.
- Disseminate with key stakeholders the above findings to promote the gender mainstreaming in the agro-export sector.

AL-INVEST VERDE SUPPORTS THE "GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES IN GENDER EQUALITY" STRATEGY IN URUGUAY
Montevideo, 28 May 2024. AL-INVEST Verde supported the organisation of two seminars held in the framework of the strategy "Good business practices in gender equity", implemented by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of Uruguay and UN Women.
