ABOUT THE PROGRAMME

AL-INVEST Green is a programme funded by the European Commission for promoting sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America. It aims to support the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy, to facilitate the implementation of sustainable production models.
 
C33 million and a duration of 48 months, starting in December 2021 and ending in November 2025. 
 
In its development, the programme is divided into three components working respectively with Latin American small businesses, public institutions in the region and the management of intellectual property rights.

COMPONENT 1: INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS FOR THE GREEN TRANSITION OF SMES

Component 1 is led by sequa together with a consortium of institutions from the region and has as its main objective the management of funds for the implementation of innovative partnership projects between organisations from Latin America and the European Union.

COMPONENT 2: TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO THE PUBLIC SECTOR

Component 2 is led by FIIAPP in consortium with IILA.

 

Its main objective is to provide technical assistance to the Latin American public sector for the effective implementation of public policies, regulatory frameworks or regulatory systems that favour the promotion of sustainable value chains in agriculture, livestock and forestry.

COMPONENT 3: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

The main objective of component 3 is to promote the use of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) as a crucial driver of competitiveness and innovation to protect value generation by SMEs.
