AL-INVEST Verde is a programme funded by the European Union (EU) to promote sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America. It aims to support the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy. To this end, it is divided into three components working respectively with Latin American small businesses, public institutions in the region and in the management of intellectual property rights.

The programme has a budget of 33 million euros, granted by the European Commission to facilitate the implementation of sustainable production models. The duration of this initiative will be 48 months: it began in December 2021 and will end in November 2025. 

The programme is implemented through three components:

Component 1 is led by drought together with a consortium of institutions from the region and has as its main objective the management of funds for the implementation of innovative partnership projects between organisations from Latin America and the European Union.

Component 2 is led by FIIAPP in consortium with IILA.


Its main objective is to provide technical assistance to the Latin American public sector for the effective implementation of public policies, regulatory frameworks or regulatory systems that favour the promotion of sustainable value chains in agriculture, livestock and forestry.
