A programme with history
AL-INVEST Verde is the sixth edition of the AL-INVEST programme, Alliance between the European Union and Latin America for Sustainable Growth and Employment. An initiative that started 28 years ago.
The programme was launched in 1994.
The second edition of the programme was launched in 2001.
Given the success of the programme, a third phase was launched in 2003.
With the aim of promoting the internationalisation of small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America, AL-INVEST IV was launched in 2008.
It began in 2016. Its implementation made it possible to benefit more than 49,000 small businesses in the region by boosting their productivity and competitiveness.
Launched in 2021, it promotes sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America to support the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy. It focuses on the private sector (small and medium enterprises), public institutions and intellectual property rights.
