Milan, 06 October 2023. Within the framework of the International Leather, Accessories, Components and Leather Goods Show, Lineapelle, held from 19-21 September in Milan (Italy), AL-INVEST Verde presented the results of the report "Environmental traceability as a tool for the competitiveness of Paraguayan meat and leather"..

The report is part of the technical assistance that Component 2 of AL-INVEST Verde provides to the Paraguayan Investment and Export Network (REDIEX), under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, for the definition of sustainable strategies in the Paraguayan tanning sector for export to the EU.

On behalf of REDIEX, the following were present Andrés Ginesa specialist from the meat and leather platform, who participated in a panel on science-based fashion and circular businesses (The Science Based Fashion Talks, Circular Businesses: The Leather Case) to explain the progress in the development of a public environmental traceability system for meat and hides and skins Paraguayans.

Also in attendance were Lorenzo Nalin, AL-INVEST Verde specialist, and Matthew Vercruysse, author of the report, who took part in bilateral meetings with key Italian and international players in the leather supply chain.
