This online event aims to increase the knowledge and capacity of IT experts from Mercosur and other Latin American IPOs in relation to new cutting-edge technologies, facilitating the path towards knowledge technology transfer from leading IPOs.

This knowledge exchange activity will help IT experts from IPAs to exchange views and ask questions on how new technologies are being implemented in EU IPAs. The implementation of new technologies such as AI, Blockchain, chatbots, etc. will enable IPAs to become "smarter", more predictable and efficient, allowing them to offer better quality services.

For this specific exchange session we will have a speaker from the EPO who will talk about the AI tools used by the EPO in patent examination and classification.
