MIPYME_CIR_TEXT Project - Textile Innovation Accelerator: Textile MSMEs for their transition towards sustainable and circular business models.

Description:

The "Textile Innovation Accelerator" project seeks to contribute to change and address existing challenges so that it can actively support the development of innovative solutions that promote a more sustainable and circular textile industry; as well as promote collaboration, foster the exchange of ideas and contribute to collective learning that drives sustainable innovation and development that goes beyond financial returns and creates positive social and environmental impact.

The aim of the Textile Innovation Accelerator project is to contribute to the economic, sustainable and circular development of textile MSMEs in Metropolitan Lima, mainly in the districts of San Juan de Lurigancho, Ate, La Victoria, El Agustino and extending throughout Lima. This is through a transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy. Specifically, it is expected that, as a result of the project, the MSMEs in the textile sector with which the project is developed will adopt processes, produce products and provide services that drive sustainable growth and the creation of green jobs in Lima, with a particular focus on the empowerment of those companies led by women.

The project will help to raise awareness and demonstrate to micro and medium-sized entrepreneurs and thousands of consumers that this is feasible. It is hoped that the experience developed in the project can be replicated.
