Sustainability, circular economy and innovation to strengthen Peruvian industrial SMEs located in the regions of Lima, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Arequipa and Junín.

Description:

This project is being led by the National Society of Industries (SNI), together with the Peruvian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Peru), as part of the AL-INVEST Verde Programme. Its purpose is for industrial SMEs to implement the principles of Circular Economy, Sustainability and Innovation in their processes to improve their competitiveness. 

It has a duration of 24 months and is focused on SMEs located in the regions of Lima, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Arequipa and Junín; corresponding to the Textile and Clothing, Metalworking, Agroindustry, Plastics and Chemical sectors, as well as MSMEs in the agricultural sector.

Activities are being carried out to provide training and technical assistance to strengthen the capacities of SMEs, generate spaces for discussion and exchange of experiences with public and private organisations through training and technical visits, provide business opportunities in the national and international market for SMEs through their participation in fairs and business rounds, all framed in the Circular Economy, Sustainability and Innovation components.

It also seeks to train MSMEs in Good Agricultural Practices for the safe and responsible use and handling of pesticides, as well as to promote the development of sustainable agriculture by agricultural producers.
