Strengthening judges' knowledge of trademark infringement in MERCOSUR and Chile

Paraguay, 05 June 2023.- The next 20 and 21 June will be held the "International Seminar on Trademark Infringements for Judges from MERCOSUR and Chile".. This event, jointly organised by the Component 3the Intellectual Property Directorate of the Supreme Court of Paraguay and the National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay (DINAPI), with the collaboration of INTA (International Trademark Association), aims to provide the participants with a comprehensive and practical perspective on trademark protection and combating infringements.

During two days, highlighted international experts will address a range of issues related to the trade mark infringements. The seminar will focus on the international context of these offences, the normative framework in the European Union, MERCOSUR y ChileThe report also includes specific case studies, experiences and best practices in case resolution, as well as tools for the identification and analysis of these infringements.

The event will be attended by magistrates from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay and the European Union, who will present reviews of relevant cases on trade mark infringement corresponding to the case law of their respective countries. This variety of perspectives will enrich the discussions and promote the exchange of knowledge among the participants.

Component 3, the Directorate of Intellectual Property of the Supreme Court of Paraguay and the National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay (DINAPI) are working together to promoting trademark protection and strengthening the judicial system in the fight against infringements. The collaboration of INTA (International Trademark Association), an internationally renowned organisation in the field of trademarks, ensures the quality and relevance of the contents presented during the seminar.
