AL-INVEST Verde at UN COP16
AL-INVEST Verde will be present at the European Union (EU) pavilion during the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations (UN) Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), to be held in Cali, Colombia, from 21 October to 1 November.
In addition to participating in the EU Pavilion throughout COP16, AL-INVEST Verde will organise three side events in the EU Pavilion:
28 October 17:30-19:00 GMT-5 : Sustainability and valorisation of the coffee value chain
This event will explore sustainable coffee production and its interaction with ecosystems, focusing on agroforestry practices that favour biodiversity conservation.
30 October 15:30-17:00 GMT-5 : Sustainability and valorisation of the cocoa value chain
This event will examine sustainable cocoa production and its contributions to forest protection, addressing the challenges of deforestation.
30 October 17:30-19:00 GMT-5 | Sustainable Livestock Production in High Biodiversity Areas
This session will address the environmental impact of livestock farming in areas of high biodiversity in Latin America and multi-stakeholder initiatives to promote the sustainability of livestock farming.
Each event will include expert presentations, space for questions and answers, along with the presentation of AL-INVEST Verde actions to promote sustainability in value chains through collaboration and innovative policies.
