Support for the implementation and consolidation of the “Coalición Cacao Ecuador”.”
Through this action, support is provided to the “Coalición Cacao Ecuador”, which was legally constituted and adopted its internal regulations on 10 April 2024, for its consolidation as an instrument of governance between the representative organisations of the different links in the value chain. The Cacao Ecuador Coalition brings together representatives of different links in the chain, such as ANECACAO, APROCAFA, UNOCACE, Fortaleza del Valle, Assocristal, Corporación MARS, Grand Sour, UOPROCAE and Corporación Chakra, among others. This support is intended to consolidate the cocoa value chain as a strategic actor in the process of adaptation, which requires public-private articulation.
Implementation period: July 2024 - May 2025.
Expected results
- Report on the four constituted commissions (with producers, traders, exporters, processors).
- Planning and implementation of activities The Annual Operational Plan of the Technical Secretariat of the Cacao Ecuador Coalition is included in the Annual Operational Plan.
- Proposal for financing strategies.
- Support for launch event.

Public-private partnership for sustainable cocoa trade and production in Ecuador highlighted
Ecuador, 31 March 2025. The Inter-institutional Committee for Sustainable Production and Commercialisation (CIPCS) of Ecuador, the National Association of Cocoa Exporters (ANECACAO) and the Cocoa Coalition, supported by AL-INVEST Verde, organised the seminar “Trade and Sustainable Production” on 24 March in Guayaquil (Ecuador).
