Implementation of the Selo Verde platform in Tocantins
Together with the Government of Tocantins, through the Secretariat of Environment and Water Resources, and the Territorial Intelligence Centre (CIT) of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), support is provided for the implementation of the Selo Verde traceability platform for soy, beef and forestry products and the implementation of CAR 2.0 (Rural Environmental Cadastre), a fundamental tool for launching the SeloVerde platform in Tocantins.

Implementation period: March - October 2025.
Expected results
- Develop automated analytics to monitor landowners' compliance with the Forest Code and the Rural Environmental Cadastre (CAR).
- Collect public data to support environmental regularisation of non-compliant properties.
- Publish the results of the RAC analysis, together with the environmental compliance status. of all rural properties registered in the CAR of Tocantins.
- Identify key rural properties and regions to promote payments for environmental services.

Tocantins, Brazil, 28 March 2025. AL-INVEST Verde is supporting the Government of Tocantins in Brazil in the implementation of the Selo Verde traceability platform in this state. Tocantins will be the sixth Brazilian state - after Pará, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Acre - to implement this system and the fourth Amazon state.
