Through the AL-INVEST Verde Private Sector Support Component, business organisations in Europe and Latin America have worked together to strengthen the competitiveness of MSMEs, promote innovation, drive the circular economy and foster more sustainable and resilient value chains.
In 2025, AL-INVEST Verde organised its annual CONEXIÓNVerde+ event in Medellín, Colombia. Women from Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay, among others, participated in the panel “Sustainable Roots: the voice of the protagonists” and highlighted the role of women in the coffee, cocoa and silk value chains to achieve sustainable production.
