Launch of the mentoring programme in Argentina
AL-INVEST Verde Component 3 for Intellectual Property Rights, in collaboration with the Secretariat of Bioeconomy of the Ministry of Economy of Argentina, is organising a virtual event to celebrate the opening of the call for interest for the first edition of the intellectual property mentoring programme, known as AL-INVmentor, in Argentina.
AL-INVmentor Argentina is part of the first edition of the mentoring programme that focuses on MERCOSUR countries and follows the launches in Paraguay on 6 May and in Brazil on 10 May. This programme in Argentina will support selected groups of local agri-food producers in the effective use of intellectual property tools, mainly geographical indications (GIs), through specialised mentoring.
The event will be attended by senior officials from the Secretariat of Bioeconomy, the Undersecretary for Agricultural Markets and International Negotiations and the Undersecretary for Bioindustries, Biotechnologies and Innovation, as well as the Head of the Economic and Trade Section of the EU Delegation in Argentina.
The event will include a presentation on the context of GIs by the National Director of Food and Regional Development of the Bioeconomy Secretariat, as well as detailed presentations on the functioning and benefits of AL-INVmentor by the project leader and the AL-INVEST Verde DPI expert who will conduct the mentoring.
