The project's main objective is to promote and strengthen the circular economy and sustainable practices, through the implementation of capacity building details, increasing knowledge and awareness of the challenges and opportunities of sustainability and the circular economy among 330 Brazilian SMEs.
Through this project, it will be possible to establish sustainability and circular economy practices as a competitive advantage in Brazilian value chains, through anchor companies and SME business partners.
The main areas of action of the project are:
- Capacity building (July 2023 to June 2024): here the objective is to carry out a training process for SMEs that partner with anchor companies (Neoenergia and Telefónica) in their value chains.
- Knowledge production (September 2023 to June 2024): Reports on circular economy and innovative technological solutions in Brazil and Europe; and guidelines for project replication.
- Networking and exchange (October 2023 to September 2024): Create and host a multi-stakeholder network aimed at sharing practices and knowledge on circular economy and fostering new partnerships; Undertake an international mission to support knowledge exchange and business opportunities in Europe for selected SMEs.
