Adoption of circular economy practices in the fashion sector (textile and clothing) of SMEs in Colombia.
CircuLAB is driving the transition towards circular economy models in Colombia’s textile and fashion sector, strengthening the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises. The project addresses the need to transform the sector’s production processes through the adoption of more resource-efficient practices, eco-design methodologies and sustainable innovation, thereby helping to reduce environmental impacts and build more resilient and competitive value chains.
To this end, the initiative offers training, technical assistance and specialist support to help companies incorporate circular economy principles into their business models and production processes. It also promotes collaboration between companies, technical institutions and stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem, encouraging the exchange of knowledge and the adoption of solutions that accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable, innovative textile industry that is better equipped to respond to market challenges.
