Description
The initiative Fantástico - Sustainability with Plastic is led by the Peruvian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK Peru), together with the National Society of Industries (SNI), in the framework of the AL-INVEST Verde programme.
Its mission is to promote sustainable growth and job creation through activities that ensure the adoption of alternative products to single-use plastics, the training of all actors in the plastic recycling chain, as well as the creation of communication channels between these actors, supporting the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy in Peru.
Its objectives are to improve the sustainable management of plastic in tractor companies and their suppliers as well as the implementation of the Fantasticometer as a digital service; to promote the development of the national market for alternative products to single-use plastics through the "Alternative Solutions Suppliers Guide", made up of small companies that offer sustainable products and services; and to contribute to the formalisation of the recycling chain, valuing the work of recyclers' associations and strengthening the work with municipalities and their communities.
