The project focuses on strengthening the environmental, social and governance (ESG) capacities and management of smaller companies in Chile, facilitating their insertion in supply chains. It is implemented in Chile by the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, in co-execution with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Netherlands. It has a duration of 25 months and its focus is on positively impacting SMEs in Chile and Latin America.
To achieve this, challenges include providing a technological platform to diagnose the situation of SME suppliers and a methodology based on the CCS Sustainable Supply Chain Guide. Develop a multi-platform training programme to train suppliers in sustainable practices, improving their competitiveness and compliance with public policies. Organise Business Roundtables and Networking to promote interaction between suppliers and constituents, especially those promoting sustainable business. In addition, it seeks to accelerate the transition towards sustainable supply chain management through strategic alliances, with the aim of expanding the model to other Latin American countries and promoting innovation and green jobs.
The expected results include the implementation of a technological diagnostic platform, the development of a training programme, the organisation of networking events, and the establishment of partnerships for the scalability of the model, contributing to sustainable development at regional level.
