Workshop on Intellectual Property Management and Protection in the Chilean Wine Sector

On 1 December, AL-INVEST Verde DPI is organising a workshop which aims at main objective to explore the intersection between research, development and the wine industry, using Intellectual Property Rights. (DPI) as tool to support the fight against climate change through sustainable innovation.

It will be held at the "Wines of Chile"The event will take place in the form of a breakfast meeting and will be attended by key representatives of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) of Chile, WIPO Green and Wines of Chile.

It will focus on outlining strategies for the extension and adoption of environmentally friendly technologies in the wine sector, working closely with WIPO Green to strengthen strategic technology adoption centres.

Among the issues to be discussed are the cooperation activities to support the implementation of green technologies in the Chilean wine sector, following the development of matchmaking activities in the framework of the WIPO Green initiative in Latin America.

In addition, complementary actions aligned with the AL-INVEST Verde DPI project will be analysed, focusing on promote sustainable technology transfer, establish mentoring programmes and strengthen sustainable technology transfer mechanisms.

This workshop is configured as a space for exchange and exploration of strategies to extend sustainable technologies in the wine sector, in line with the planning outlined to meet the objectives of sustainable development.

It is a key workshop to promote the implementation of sustainable practices and foster innovation in the Chilean wine sector.
