Towards a new business model based on the green economy and local development
The main objective of the project is to promote sustainable rural tourism and local development by improving the quality of the tourist service offered, taking advantage of the efficient use of existing natural resources through the application of the circular economy.
Specific objectives:
- Promote training, implementation of good practices and knowledge on circularity in the rural tourism sector, with clear practical examples of application, required investment, costs and returns.
- Coordinate all actions with communities to bring together all actors involved in sustainable rural tourism development.
- Determine the current level of circularity and set targets for improvement in inns in a local and rural environment.
- Implement a green quality label in the selected inns.
- Raise awareness among tourists to encourage the proper use of natural resources and the importance of waste reduction and reuse.
