Alicante, 12 October 2023. On 11 October, an important event took place at the virtual meeting co-organised by the EUIPO and the EPOfocusing on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in patent examination.. EPO expert Alexander Klenner-Bajaja provided valuable insights into how AI can revolutionise the field.

The session also allowed experts from the Intellectual Property Offices of MERCOSUR, Chile and Mexico to discuss current applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to patent examination and to present their AI-based initiatives and projects. 

We thank all the participants of INPI Brazil, INPI Argentina, INAPI Chile, DINAPI Paraguay, IMPI Mexico, y DNPI Uruguay for their contribution and for enriching the dialogue on Intellectual Property and new technologies.
