Montevideo, 09 November 2022. Component 3 of the Green AL-INVEST programme, which focuses on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), will carry out the next 21 November at its headquarters in Montevideo, UruguayThe day will mark the official inauguration of its Action in the region.

For the occasion, a conference in hybrid format entitled "The socio-economic importance of intellectual property and the challenges of sustainable growth".. The aim is to highlight the socio-economic importance of IPRs for innovation and economic development, based on studies carried out in the European Union and Latin America.

This inaugural event of AL-INVEST Green DPI will allow for analyse some of the challenges and opportunities posed by intellectual property rights in line with the objectives of the European Green Pactsuch as achieving sustainable growth in Latin America based on innovation or the reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG).

To the event key regional partners of AL-INVEST Green DPI will be in attendance. High-level representatives of intellectual and industrial property offices from several countries are invited.
