Paraguay joins TMview, the largest free trademark search database

The National Directorate of Intellectual Property of Paraguay (DINAPI) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), which implements Component 3 of AL-INVEST Verde for intellectual property rights (IPR), AL-INVEST Verde IPR, have successfully completed the integration of DINAPI trademark data into TMview, the world's largest free online trademark search database.

With the incorporation of Paraguay, All MERCOSUR countries are integrated into TMview.. Specifically, more than 715,000 DINAPI trademarks have been added, meaning that this database now comprises more than 136 million trademarks from 81 intellectual property (IP) offices around the world. In addition, more than 300,000 trademark images from the Paraguayan IP office are available through TMview's AI-based image search functionality.

This action enables users worldwide to search for and access brand data more effectively. Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, which helps businesses and rights holders manage and protect their intellectual property (IP) across borders.

This integration is in addition to previous ones in other EUIPO tools for searching, classifying and translating goods and services. TMclass in 2023 – and product information – DESIGNclass in 2024 -, as well as strengthening the EUIPO's “Intellectual Property Toolbox Alliance”, which aims to raise awareness and promote the use of digital intellectual property tools worldwide.
