Within the framework of the AL-INVEST Verde programme, the ARABICA project continues to promote the adoption of sustainable practices in the coffee value chain in Brazil, strengthening the capacities of producers and MSMEs to respond to the new environmental demands of the international market. A prominent component of the project has been the active participation of women in the processes of
33,576 women representatives of MSMEs have been trained as part of the Component 1 Action of the AL-INVEST Verde programme, strengthening their skills and competencies to drive the transition to a more sustainable, green and digital economy in Latin America. Through the actions developed by the Programme, 5,209 MSMEs led by women have implemented sustainable practices, contributing to
AL-INVEST Verde, the European Union's international cooperation programme that promotes job creation through the development of the green economy in Latin America, has completed the implementation of 24 projects, impacting more than 24,500 micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in 11 countries in the region, through its Component 1, which supports the creation of jobs through the development of the green economy.
As part of the event programme, visits to various organisations have been arranged. The main aim of these visits is to provide a forum for exchange and to enhance learning through meetings with leading companies and institutions that have made significant progress in the transition towards more sustainable models and have implemented best practices.
