The mythology of Antioquia and other parts of Colombia describes Madremonte as a woman who protects natural resources and punishes those who harm them. She dresses in branches, leaves and moss, has long hair and, above all, defends forests, rivers and animals. Her existence warns of boundaries that must not be crossed.
With the same objective, the AL-INVEST Verde programme drives new models of sustainable development in Latin America, accompanies real stories of transformation, and builds strategic connections between SMEs, partner institutions and the public sector. The results we have obtained are not just numbers, but reflect a real impact that lays the foundations for a greener, more inclusive and resilient ecosystem in the region.
To strengthen knowledge sharing, generate synergies and consolidate inter-institutional relationships, we have created #CONEXIÓNVerde+, a unique space that also seeks to make the impact of our initiatives visible. It is the Programme's flagship event, jointly organised by the three Components The project is being implemented by a number of organisations, each focusing on key areas: Latin American small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions and intellectual property rights.
The new edition of #CONEXIÓNVerde+ will take place in Medellín, Colombia. The activities of Component 2 will take place between 6 and 10 October 2025, while those of Component 1 will start on 7 October and end on 10 October.
