Component 1 successfully closed its second call for proposals for innovative projects.

Lima, 06 August 2023. Component 1 of the AL-INVEST Verde programme successfully closed its second call for proposals for innovative projects. More than 150 proposals were received, which will be evaluated and the projects that will receive funding from the programme will be announced soon.

AL-INVEST Verde is a programme funded by the European Union (EU) that seeks to promote the growth of SMEs in Latin America by supporting their transition towards a more circular economy that allows them to implement sustainable practices such as reducing the carbon footprint of their processes and increasing efficiency in the use of resources.

The Second Call for Proposals was announced on 17 May this year and ran until 23 August. The main objective of this call was to broaden the funding possibilities for green economy initiatives.

Component 1 of the programme, is led by sequaThe German organisation, which promotes the development of projects and programmes at a global level, has been working together with institutions such as the Guatemalan Exporters Association (AGEXPORT), the Brazilian Confederation of Trade and Business Associations (CACB), the Lima Chamber of Commerce in Peru (CCL), the Chamber of Industry, Commerce, Services and Tourism of Santa Cruz in Bolivia (CAINCO), the Mexican Confederation of Employers (Coparmex Jalisco) and EUROCHAMBRES, an institution that represents the chambers of commerce in Europe.

During the First Call 137 proposals were received and 24 projects are currently being implemented in the various countries of the region.
