Component 3 for Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) has developed skills certifications and training courses aimed at professionals in Technology Transfer (TT) and IP in Uruguay, with the objective of boosting technological development and innovation in the country.
In Uruguay, the technology transfer system needs to strengthen its foundations with trained professionals and policies that foster TT and IP. Among the country's positive aspects are the growth in investment in science and technology, as well as the production of high quality research.
With the backing of the National Directorate of Industrial Property (DNPI) of UruguayThis comprehensive training programme is structured in seven units, addressing key topics such as innovation and technology, technology business and financing, intellectual property, project management, contracts and licensing, communication and negotiation, as well as innovation management and TT in Latin America.
The programme's main objective is to equipping professionals with essential skills to effectively manage technology transfer, including the management of intellectual property and other intangible assets, in alignment with international standards. An interactive approach is used, combining theory with practical dynamics and collaborative work, promoting the exchange of experiences and the analysis of real cases in the field of TT.
The course is aimed especially at professionals from research institutions, universities, government agencies, associations and industrial chambers in Uruguay working in science, technology, innovation and intellectual property.
