AL-INVEST Verde promotes dialogue on the challenges of the new EU deforestation regulation
Lima, 07 November 2023 - The European Union's (EU) AL-INVEST Verde programme served as a platform to promote dialogue on the EU's new EU regulation on deforestation (EUDR), which encourages more sustainable practices in the private sector. Thus, in the city of Lima, leaders of Latin American business organisations, EU experts and specialists from the private sector met to discuss the new EU regulation on deforestation and forest degradation (EUDR).
Workshops in Uruguay on certification of agro-exportable products from native forest land
Montevideo, 27 October 2023 - AL-INVEST Verde Component 2 organised together with the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries (MGAP) of Uruguay the workshop "Certification of agro-exportable products from native forests" to foster dialogue on the importance of sustainable management of native forests and, consequently, the opportunity to certify the sustainability of their products.
