Traceability initiatives in the meat and leather value chains in Brazil

This study presents an overview of traceability mechanisms for cattle in Brazil throughout the production process. It is part of the "Dialogues on sustainability and traceability in food value chains.rne and leather".which were organised from December 2021 to September 2022, when the closing event.
The dialogues allowed reflectionar on sustainability, good
practices and posibilities of cooperationón for contribute to the improvement of lThe chains of production. They brought together the import, export, retail and livestock sectors, as well as representatives of slaughterhouses, tanneries, associations and civil society organisations, together with research officers.
Estat the initiative of was promoted by the European Union through the programme AL–INVEST Verde, in collaboration with the Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia (Amazon Environmental Research Institute) (IPAM).
